Conch Shaped Wooden Sandesh Mould

Description

Hand carved conch shaped wooden mould made by artisans from Bengal. This is used to make all kinds of traditional Bengali sweets, especially, sandesh. The size of the mould is 8 cm by 4 cm.

It is waterproof but has to be dipped into oil for 2-3 hrs before use and then left to dry under fan for an hour which would make the edges smooth, and give it a dark-coloured texture, it then could be used for generations.
